exploit that baby!

Published by msanchezmasi at 10:09 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Got your attention, hmm?

Today, it’s all about using that baby to get stuff for you.  My favorite way to do this is to use points & gift cards you earn with baby stuff to treat yourself.  I know, I know, I know, kids are expensive, so any perks should go back to further funding their lives.  But I disagree.  Seems to me that mamas will hunt down a deal for the kiddos and still wear shoes from 1993, even though they don’t fit because our feet grew when we were pregnant.

So, please, take my advice and spend some of this love on yourself.

1.  If you shop for your kids online (and please tell me you do, because I can’t be the only one who dislikes bringing Hurricane Eva to a store), use ebates and keep that big fat check for yourself.  (If you aren’t signed up for ebates, click here and you’ll get $5 automatically deposited in your account)

2.  If you use Pampers, sign up for their Gifts to Grow program.  Most of the rewards are for kids, but keep an eye out for Starbucks and Gap gift certificates.  Check out this post at Freebies for Mom to get codes for three free points, just for kicks.

3.  If you’re a Huggies user, get money back from Caregiver’s Marketplace.  You have to save receipts and mail them in 5 at a time, but the money you get back can fund a coffee run or a margarita.

4.  Do your googling through Swagbucks, cash in your bucks for gift certificates for yourself (my favorite, Amazon.com, is only 45 points).  If you aren’t signed up, click here.

5.  Babycheapskate has great posts about coupon deals for diapers - she works hard to help you get the best price per diaper.  When Target  combines their diapers with a gift card, keep that gift card all for you (makeup, clothes, chocolate…it can all be found at Target!).  This week, Pampers are buy two gigantic packs, get a $10 gift card.  Make sure you use any Target coupons AND manufacturer coupons to really feel good about your purchase!

And eat their Christmas candy whenever you want.  They don’t need it.
